Grady Wind

Curry County, New Mexico

Grady Wind is adjacent to our Broadview Wind facility in eastern New Mexico.

01 /
  • Electricity produced by the facility is equal to the electricity needs of about 225,000 Americans and sold to the Sacramento Municipal Utility District under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement.

  • Grady Wind expects to generate $7 million over its first 25 years of operations in tax payments to Curry County and the Grady Municipal School District.

Grady Wind supports the community by sponsoring and donating to groups, causes, and events, including schools, first responders, and charitable organizations.

We place great importance on being an active part of the local communities where we have a presence.

Please let us know if your group would like a presentation or if you have suggestions for community sponsorships and local causes we can support.

The 220 MW Grady Wind facility uses 84 American-made Siemens Gamesa 2.625 MW wind turbines.

Construction entailed hundreds of workers on-site during peak activity in 2019 and more than $100 million in locally sourced construction expenditures. With the help of local contractors, eighteen on-site personnel operate and maintain the Grady Wind and Broadview Wind facilities.

We designed Grady Wind to minimize impacts on local habitats for the Lesser Prairie Chicken. We are proud to contribute to the conservation and preservation of this iconic species and its habitat.
